“Fuck!” Alexander tossed his cell onto the wooden counter. His fist hit the surface, causing the cell and the dirty glasses littering it to jump.

Kane approached the bar, fastening the buckle of his black leather chaps, his lips set in a grim line. “Who was on the phone?”

“Spike. Bold motherfucker.” Alexander jammed a hand through his hair. His jaw ached with fury. “Good news. You can now call off Preacher and Rogue. I know where the son of a bitch is hunkered down. Fucker never left Oregon. Also, he’s made it clear he has India and isn’t afraid to hurt her to get what he wants.”

“What the fuck does he want?”

“Me.”

Kane raised a brow. “What the hell did you do to that crazy motherfucker that has him so pissed?”

Alexander shrugged. “Other than being a Son? Who the fuck knows.”

“Do I want to know what the bad news is?”

“I’m supposed to go alone.”

“No fucking way.” Kaleb strode over to the pair, shrugging on his MC cut. “We aren’t letting you walk into some sort of trap, Xander. We all go. Motherfucker wants a party, we’ll give him one.”

Alexander shook his head. “Not an option I’m willing to take. I can’t chance he’ll hurt her or worse.”

“Where’s he hiding her?” Kane asked.

“A cabin up in the Bohemia Mountain. It’s just shy of a three-hour ride from here, south of Eugene. I wouldn’t put it past him to have someone hiding in the trees along the path, reporting to him if I have company. Sorry, P, this I have to do on my own.”

“Fuck that shit.” Kaleb jabbed a finger at the counter, the muscles in his neck tightening with his rising ire. Alexander knew Kaleb took Spike’s actions personally. After all, Spike was a Devil, and any action done by a rival MC to any member of the Sons of Sangue was an action done to the entire club. “We’re going with you. I’ll call Preacher and Rogue and send them back to K&K Motorcycles with the box truck, then have them meet us on the road with their bikes.”

Alexander chuckled, feeling zero of the humor. “And you think arriving on five Harley Davidsons would draw less attention? What’s your plan, Hawk?”

“You’ll arrive on your bike, go in the way he’s expecting you. I’m betting there’s only one road leading to that cabin. He’s no fool.” Kaleb smiled. “Fortunately, we aren’t either. Me and Viper, we’ll go up the left side of the mountain to the cabin on foot, while Preacher and Rogue take the right. No chance he’ll get out of there without one of us intercepting him.”

“And if he has the cabin surrounded with Devils?”

“Hell, from what Preacher says, most of his own men despise him.” Kane pulled down a fifth of whiskey, pouring them each a shot. He held one out to Alexander, but he declined. Kane took the shot for him. “Not likely he’ll get a lot of help from those bastards. He doesn’t have their devotion the way Tank did.
